Is MDCAT Delayed: PMC Releases New Schedule For MDCAT 2022
PMC MDCAT 2022 was delayed due to ongoing flooding in Pakistan. The Pakistan Medical Commission has announced a new timeline for conducting the MDCAT 2022. The start and end dates of the exams for each city will be announced. PMC issues the following notification regarding the postponement of MDCAT 2022.
The National Medical Authority (NMA) has been given responsibility for administering the MDCAT under the PMC Act 2020, which was scheduled for the year 2022 from 7th to 30th September as decided by the Medical Council and Dental during a May 2022 meeting.
The Government of Pakistan’s Ministry of National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination (M/o NHSR&C) instructed the National Medical Authority (NMA) to postpone MDCAT 2022 ( Genera) Misc) on August 30, 2022, after a “national emergency” was declared in 72 districts of Pakistan due to flooding.
The National Medical Authority (NMA) has conducted an assessment of designated MDCAT testing centers in Pakistani cities, following previous guidance from M/o NHSR&C, and MDCAT deferral requests from state health authorities. of Balochistan and the government. of Sindh, and NDMA and PDMA report damage to roads, communications, and infrastructure in affected areas of Sindh, Balochistan, South Punjab, and KPK due to widespread flooding and displacement of local people.
In addition, the National Medical Authority (NMA) has received inquiries from candidates enrolled in MDCAT 2022 who reside in non-flood affected areas regarding their exam schedule based on the announced exam dates in September 2022; which was reported by the Pakistan Meteorological Department as hot and humid across the country.
