PM Started Pakistan’s First Tourism Brand
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday launched the country’s first tourism brand “Salam Pakistan” and an online portal aimed at boosting tourism in Pakistan. At the opening ceremony in Islamabad, the Prime Minister highlighted the country’s potential as an exceptional destination for the promotion of tourism, culture, and heritage.
During the event, Prime Minister Sharif expressed his determination to work with countries known for their excellence in tourism, culture, handicrafts, and other fields and encouraged them to showcase Pakistan’s diverse tourism sector.
The Salam Pakistan brand and e-portal were launched to showcase Pakistan’s rich cultural and natural diversity internationally and to attract tourists from around the world.
Prime Minister Sharif highlighted the wealth of natural resources and scenic beauty in Pakistan’s northern regions, which he said could be harnessed to boost the country’s economy through tourism opportunities.
The website provides information on the top 20 most popular travel destinations in Pakistan including K2, Gwadar, Ziarat Valley, Uch Sharif, Deosai National Park, Kalash Valley, Takht-e-Bahi, Hingol National Park, Shandur Pass, Kambhar Lake, and Fairy Meadows. , Ratti Gali, Lahore Fortress, Makli Cemetery, Derawar Fortress, Rohtas Fortress, Kumrat Valley, Hunza Valley, and Mohenjodaro.
It offers tourists tips on beaches, waterfalls, nature and scenery, festivals, spiritual tourism, and ecotourism, making it easy for visitors to explore the country’s impressive offerings.
