Pedro Garcia is a California police officer who allegedly rescued a man who was trapped in a burning car on Sunday.
The San Jose Department posted a video on their Twitter page showing Officer Garcia pulling an unidentified man out of a burning vehicle on Highway 101.
Garcia told KGO that he was driving on the freeway when he saw the car and decided to intervene.

His age isn’t clear yet.
Rescued Driver From Burning Car
A daring filmed rescue shows the heroic actions of a San José police officer who rescued a man from a burning car on Sunday.
The video posted on the San Jose Police Department’s Twitter page shows flames from a burning car on Highway 101.
As per the SJPD, rookie officer Pedro Garcia “did not hesitate … did not hesitate to risk his life and get the man out of the burning car.”
“Heroes walk among us. There is no training for such a time. We risk our lives to save others. Fantastic job, Officer Garcia!” SJPD tweeted.

However, camera footage of Garcia’s corpse shows the man’s shoes melting. Garcia told KTVU that the man had arrived and was knocked unconscious when they took him out of the car.
“I was like, ‘Hey brother, drop it, your car is on fire!'” The officer recalls. “I told him,” You are okay my brother, you are okay. They will check you out.
KTVU said the man was hospitalized for his injuries, which were not disclosed. Garcia was not injured.
