Nicole Flanagan was found dead in a barrel in New Jersey earlier this month. Family members say they are devastated by his death, reports the Greenwich Times.
Flanagan’s body was found in a 55-gallon plastic barrel on 13th August in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey.
Authorities received surveillance camera footage showing a man charged with removing the barrel from a Wall Street building in Manhattan and loading it onto a U-Haul truck the day before.

Nicole Flanagan Was Found Dead
Police were called to the area “because of a report that a suspicious large plastic container was left on the street,” the prosecutor said.
He said the coroner was working to determine the cause and time of death.
Flanagan’s body was found undressed in the barrel, according to Greenwich Free Press.
The Bergen County coroner reportedly said Flanagan’s body had no visible injuries. Toxicological tests are still pending.
What Was Her Family’s Statement?
The woman’s brother Thomas Flanagan told the newspaper the family was in mourning.
“100% surprise for everyone,” Thomas Flanagan told Greenwich Time.
Thomas Flanagan and his sister lost contact years ago after an argument, but he told the news agency he is still mourning his sister’s death.
“We were best friends growing up,” Thomas Flanagan told Greenwich Time.
Nicole Flanagan was born in Greenwich, Connecticut, graduated from Greenwich High School in the mid-1990s, and has three surviving children. Thomas Flanagan told the newspaper he would take care of her children.
“She loved his children, a good mother to them,” Thomas Flanagan told Greenwich Time.
“Many loved him. Lots of people take care of them.”
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help cover the costs of the funeral, which is scheduled for later this week.
“We are all devastated by the loss of Nicole,” Lisa Flanagan, Nicole Flanagan’s sister-in-law, wrote on the website.
Several media reported that Nicole Flanagan was working as a high-level escort. Her brother told Greenwich Time he was not aware of this job.
A longtime friend of Flanagan told the New York Post that she believed her friend “always feared for her safety” while she was an escort.
What Police Have Investigated Up Till Now?
Bergen County authorities last week confirmed the identity of the remains as Flanagan. The district court did not determine the cause of death.
Bergen County District Attorney’s Office and Ridgefield Park Police are investigating.
