NED University Announced The Merit Criteria Based On 30% Matric Results For Undergraduate Admissions 2021
One of Karachi’s leading engineering universities, NED University, announced its admission based on matric results after inter results were belatedly announced, media representatives reported.
The decision was made at a hastily convened NED University union meeting, where it was decided to adjust the admissions policy to avoid losing students due to the delay in interim results.
At the union meeting, the admission of students was decided based on the results of the matric.
“All applicants who have passed the NED college entrance test with 50 or more points or the first or second place exam with a certain number of points are eligible for admission,” the university spokeswoman said.
The spokesperson said the NED merit list 2021 will include 30% of the Matric results and 70% of the NED University entrance test.
He went on to say that admission was tentative and that applicants for admission to engineering, architecture, and computer science should have scored 60 percent marks on the exam, while those seeking admission to the bachelor’s program had 55 percentage marks should have succeeded.
Those on the earnings list must pass an interview between October 22-25, and the new academic year begins on 22nd November.
