The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) on Saturday directed the federal and provincial governments to keep educational facilities in the COVID-19 hotspot counties closed until June 6.
The NCOC said a meeting would be held on June 3rd to decide on reopening facilities from June 7th.

Educational institutions in areas where the coronavirus positivity rate is less than 5% will reopen on May 24th.
It’s important to note that the Punjab government announced on Friday that schools in 16 counties in the province would reopen from Monday, May 24th.

Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas went on Twitter to share the announcement that public and private schools in select Punjab districts are only operating four days a week. He said schools are allowed to call students every other day with a 50 percent turnout.
The communication stated that in the first phase schools will be opened in Bahawalnagar, Jhang, Nankana Sahib, Sahiwal, Chakwal, Jhelum, Narowal, Sheikhupura, Chiniot, Kasur, Pakpattan, Sialkot, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahuddin, Rajanpur, and Vehari.
