“In the entrance of his house, a man brutally murdered my sister.” He was shot nine times and died instantly. “There were no arrests, no suspects, no one was questioned,” Sanga said in one of his posts.
Sanga claimed her sister was in an abusive relationship with her partner of 17, who was an “affiliated” businessman. However, the man denied any involvement in his girlfriend’s murder, the sources said.
The grieving sister also shared numerous videos and photos of Mtwa covered in bruises, as well as screenshots of messages that allegedly existed between Mtwa and her family discussing the alleged abuse she suffered that went viral.
In response to the public outcry, the SAPS Provincial Commissioner for the Eastern Cape, Lt. Gen. Nomthetheleli Mene, appointed a senior brigade-level official to oversee the matter.
Meanwhile, the Eastern Cape EFF is expected to visit Mthatha Police Headquarters on Wednesday to demand answers about Mtwa’s death.
