NA Panel Wants Photos Of Bhuttos On Rs.75 Commemorative Note
Members of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Finance and Revenue have expressed reservations about the recently issued Rs. 75 Commemorative note, stressing that the note must also include photos of national leaders, including Liaquat Ali Khan, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, and Benazir Bhutto.
MPs shared the comments at a committee meeting here on Tuesday.
Responding to members’ complaints about this, State Bank of Pakistan Governor Jameel Ahmed said issuing new banknotes is a formal process. He said that as a Pakistani he respects all national leaders.
It is worth mentioning here that the SBP recently issued a 75 rupee note to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Pakistan’s independence.
