The first Monsoon Season in Karachi is expected from July 15 to 17, said Sardar Sarfaraz, director of the Karachi, Pakistan Meteorological Department.
The rain will act as a break from the scorching heat in Karachi.
The director of the Karachi meteorological office said on Saturday that moderate rains were expected in the metropolis next week.
Karachi is expected to receive around 10-22mm of rain for the first period.

While the country’s meteorologists say that on July 11, weak winds hit the northwestern Bay of Bengal and the humid monsoon winds reach Pakistan via the Gujrat.
“Clouds are expected to fall over Tharparkar and the surrounding area on July 12,” the Karachi meteorological office said.
Additionally, the Meteorological Bureau warned the Karaquites that the city could expect low rainfall on July 12, before the official start of the first monsoon season.
