The disappearance of the student deeply troubles his family. His parents have hardly eaten or slept since Sunday, especially his father, according to his older brother Universe Ewunetie.
Universe said her sister returned after meeting members of Princeton Terrace Club, a “supper club” focused on dinners and live events.
Misrach’s disappearance is irrelevant, he said. He studied sociology with a minor in computer science and loved school.
“As far as I know, she has no personal issues,” he said. The family is certain that he has no mental health problems, he said.
She doesn’t go out either.
“We got in touch with his close friends,” he said. “Everyone said he wouldn’t date anyone.”
School officials say she hasn’t had contact with family or friends for days and sent a “tiger alert” around 9:20 p.m. m. Monday, reported his disappearance.
Her brother, Universe Ewunetie, described his little sister as “a very intelligent and principled girl” who is a “loving and caring person, beautiful inside and out”.
Universe, who also has a brother, Jhonatan, 23, said the family came to the United States from Ethiopia in 2008, and Misrach was raised in Ohio, where his parents still live.
The young woman was due to go 45 miles from Princeton on Saturday for an interview regarding her application for US citizenship, but her brother was told she would not be there.
A spokeswoman for the Princeton Police Department said they were not handling the case and that it was only being handled by officers on campus.
Universe said he shared his location with his brother and his phone last rang in the early hours of Sunday morning.
He was reporting from a residential area near Penns Neck, about a seven-minute drive from campus.
A screenshot of his phone activity obtained by the US SUN shows his phone signal was last picked up around 3:27 a.m. before the device seemed to shut down.
Her older brother, 30, said he went to the area with police to search and speak to locals but they could not locate the missing woman or her phone.
“They went there twice, once with dogs, and got nothing,” Universe explained.
“The third time, I joined them with my girlfriend and we were only there for half an hour with the lead detective and two other university officials.”
What Was The Police Investigation Report?
“They only searched the back, they couldn’t get a search warrant for the houses around it.”
“It wasn’t enough time because the back was wooded and full of vines and bushes on the ground.”
“That’s the last place her phone rang. It’s very different than when she turns off her phone, kids today don’t turn off their phones, they love their phones.”
As it has been days since she was last seen, the family is desperate to break the news.
“As far as I know, she doesn’t have any personal issues,” Universe continued, as the family is certain she doesn’t have any mental health issues.
“With the pandemic, they weren’t on campus for the first year, then it was tough for them and a lot of people,” she said.
“But this year he tried to get into this Terrace Club and that was his way of making friends.”
The Terrace Club is one of Princeton’s most famous food clubs, celebrating food and live music.
A social media post shows they had a live concert starting at 11 pm Thursday that Misrach reportedly attended.
Her Family’s Statement
He said his sister recently switched from studying sociology to studying computer science and that he liked the school.
When asked if Misrach has a boyfriend she could have moved on with, Universe insisted, “We reached out to her close friends. They all said she wasn’t dating anyone.”
He said they were having trouble getting research aid because so many students left campus for the holidays this week.
When asked about his three flatmates, he said: “The last flatmate left on Sunday.
“They hadn’t seen her since Friday, but they didn’t look for her because they assumed she went home.”
When asked how his parents were doing, Universe admitted, “Not great. They haven’t eaten or slept much since Sunday, especially my dad.”

“She is the jewel of the house, they are the only daughter and the youngest. She is loved very much.”
He said the family reported her missing to the university on Monday morning and an alert was then sent out, but getting people to pay attention to the search had been difficult.
She was top of her class and received a full scholarship to Princeton and was featured in local media.
Misrach is described as 5ft 4 and 130 pounds with brown eyes, black hair, and a “fair complexion,” authorities said.
