Ministry of Federal Education Warns on Spreading Rumors Single National Curriculum. No, Pakistan will not cover human diagrams in One National Curriculum biology textbooks with ‘appropriate’ clothing to “protect their modesty”.
On Tuesday, the Federal Ministry of Education tweeted that “special interests” had launched a concerted campaign to discredit the government’s efforts to design a single national curriculum for all schools in Pakistan. He denied rumors that the Muttahida Ulema Board approved science textbooks.

As per the ministry, the scientific manuals are developed in consultation with local and international experts and will not be approved for publication until they meet the required global criteria.
“However, it is true that the Punjab Assembly passed a law whereby a council of ulama approves all Islamic content in the curriculum, but no changes have been made to the textbooks so far.”
The teaching of Qaris at Schools
Another rumor about seminary professors teaching Islam in schools has been declared false.
“Teaching Qirat to Muslim students is part of the Islamiyat curriculum and is mandatory to promote their religious learning. But this education can be provided by existing teachers of Islam or religious studies and the school can appoint anyone it deems appropriate for the subject,” the ministry said.
Discrimination against minorities
“The Single National Curriculum is a landmark initiative introduced to eliminate Pakistan’s long-standing class-based education system and create equal educational standards for all students in Pakistan regardless of their race, class, gender, and other arbitrary markers,” said the ministry.
“The Islamic content of the program is limited to the Holy Quran Compulsory Education Law of 2017. For the first time, a separate special program for Hindus, Christians, Baha’is, Sikhs, and Kalaash has been prepared to ensure that the program not only reflects all Pakistanis but promotes tolerance, peace, and brotherhood among all peoples. communities of the country,” He added.
