Only several days ahead of May, Microsoft released the final version for Windows 10 as part of its updates for May 2021.
The creator of Windows has verified that build version 19043.928 for the 21H1 updates is the last one that can be downloaded directly.
Microsoft said in a blog post:
“We are preparing the Windows update from May 10, 2021 (version 21H1) for release. We will continue to improve the general update experience on customer PCs in May 2021 through our regular service cadence.”
The new update is now available for Windows Insiders in the Beta and Release Preview channels. You can download the ISO files required to reinstall the May 2021 updates directly to your devices.
This version is another trivial update for those who are still running Windows 10 versions 2004 and 20H2.
Windows Insider users can click “Download and Install 21H1” in Settings> Update & Security> Windows Update to get the latest update.
After the update is complete, Windows Insider will receive service updates through Windows Update.
With the new update now available to Insiders, it shouldn’t be long before it’s publicly available.
We can only hope it’s more reliable than the pesky April updates, but that might be too far-fetched right now.
