Meghan Markle will no longer support the animal welfare organization
Meghan Markle has announced that her sponsorship of an animal welfare organization has ended in what appears to be the latest case of her split from the royal family, Express UK reported.
The news that Markle has ended her sponsorship of British animal rights group Mayhew was confirmed in a Twitter post by the charity on Thursday.
Mayhew shared on Twitter that it has been “an incredible privilege” to have Markle on board since 2019, with Markle also making his contribution.
The Duchess of Sussex said in her farewell statement: “While my time as leader of Mayhew is over, my unwavering support is not.”
She continued, “I encourage each of you to support him in any way you can. The emotional support provided by a rescued animal is second to none, as you’ll soon discover: you’re not rescuing them, they’re rescuing you.”

“To the Mayhew community, thank you for trusting me to be your boss. It was an honor,” concluded Markle.
The move comes two years after Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, announced their departure from the royal family, an event known as “Megxit.”
