Mariely Chacon was a Venezuelan mother of two who was trapped in a boat and forced to drink her urine to keep her children alive by breastfeeding.
Chacón, 40, took a boat trip with his family and friends on September 3, including his six-year-old son, two-year-old daughter, and 25-year-old nanny.
They left Higuerote in their homeland of Venezuela for the uninhabited Caribbean island of La Tortuga but never made it.
The disaster occurred when a large wave shattered the hull of the ship, triggering a massive rescue operation after it failed to reach its destination on time.

Shipwrecked Mum Died & Saves Children By Breastfeeding
Chacón kept José David and María Beatriz Camblor Chacón alive after a wave destroyed their boat after a trip to an island in the Atlantic.
The Venezuelan drank her urine, which gave her the energy to breastfeed the six and two-year-olds as they drifted 70 miles off the wreckage.
Rescue teams found the children with their mother’s body in the wreckage and were rushed to hospital with dehydration and first-degree burns.
The mother and children were on the boat with her nanny, who also survived by hiding in a refrigerator to escape the heat.
But five others, including Chacón’s husband and the children’s father, Remis David Camblor, are still missing.
The nine-man crew left Higuerote in Venezuela on September 3 on the Thor ship from Higuerote for the uninhabited Caribbean island of La Tortuga.
Authorities have confirmed that Chacón, who died of organ failure caused by dehydration, kept her children alive by drinking their urine so they could breastfeed.
A source quoted by the daily La República said that the mother’s vital organs had collapsed due to the lack of electrolytes.
Humberto Chacón, the woman’s father, said the boat trip was “just a family outing to keep the kids entertained.”

Her funeral took place on Saturday after authorities said her children would survive despite PTSD and physical injuries.
The search for the five missing is expected to continue, although hopes of finding them alive are rapidly dwindling.
