Margarita Simonovna Simonyan is a Russian journalist. She is the editor-in-chief of the Russian state-controlled propaganda media RT (formerly Russia Today) and Rossiya Segodnya.

In 2022, Simonyan was sanctioned by the European Union as “a propaganda figure of the Russian central government that is ‘responsible’ for actions and policies that undermine Russia’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence. Ukraine.”
