PPP Announces Suspension of Lawyer Latif Khosa’s Party Membership
The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has taken the decision to suspend the party membership of senior leader Advocate Latif Khosa. This action comes after Khosa failed to respond to a show-cause notice issued to him by PPP Secretary-General Syed Nayyer Hussain Bukhari on September 13. The notice had been served to Khosa due to his representation of Imran Khan, the leader of another political party called Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), in various court cases.
Khosa, who held a position in the PPP’s Central Executive Committee (CEC), was criticized by his own party for defending Imran Khan without prior approval from the PPP leadership. The cases in question involved corruption charges against Imran Khan and a case under the Official Secrets Act.
