Kristen Stewart reveals why she was disappointed to play Diana on Spencer
Kristen Stewart’s role as Princess Diana in Spencer proved particularly difficult for the actress for a compelling reason, which she revealed in an interview with Vanity Fair.
Speaking to the magazine for its latest cover story on the previously coveted role, Stewart shared that she regrets one aspect of playing the legendary people’s princess; not being able to vomit on Diana’s bulimia.
“I couldn’t throw up in this film, even though I should have. I felt like shit and I couldn’t get up, and I know it was because my body was like that … the idea of it was so untouchable,” she said.
The actress previously revealed to the Daily Mail that she wasn’t entirely happy with another aspect of the role either and that she wasn’t a mother like Diana.
“I’m not a mother yet. It was the only part of her role that I felt disloyal to,” Stewart said.
