King Charles III Expresses Interest in Visiting Pakistan in The Near Future

King Charles III of the UK expressed his desire to visit Pakistan during an interview with a Pakistani expatriate.

The king announced his intention during a meeting with Pakistan’s Honorary Goodwill Ambassador for Investment Zeeshaan Shah at the first public reception organized by the monarch to commemorate the British and South Asian communities.

According to the information, some of the most prominent Britons and South Asians including Pakistani High Commissioner for Britain Moazzam Ahmed Khan, Lord Zameer Chaudhary, Aneel Mussarat, and Lord Jitesh Gadhia attended the reception, which will be held at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh.

On occasion, Shah spoke to the monarch about his role and ongoing plans to strengthen Pakistan-Britain economic ties.

He also thanked the King for the recent flood relief efforts as well as for supporting poor communities across the country with his charity, the British Asian Trust (BAT).

Note here that King Charles III recently inherited the throne following the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, last month. He was also met by Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif at the Queen’s funeral in London in early September.

Prime Minister Sharif was among 500 other royal families, heads of state, and foreign dignitaries invited to attend the funeral service.
