Kim Kardashian admits she resisted her 2021 Met Gala outfit
Kim Kardashian reveals what prompted her to wear the iconic outfit to the 2021 Met Gala.
Speaking to Vogue for the March issue, the mother-of-four revealed she initially resisted but later agreed to wear her Balenciaga bodysuit.
“I was fighting it. I was like, ‘I don’t know how to wear the mask. Why would I want to cover my face?'” Kardashian told Vogue.
“But Demna [Gvasalia, Balenciaga creative director] and the team said, ‘It’s a costume gala. It’s not a Vanity Fair party where everyone is beautiful. There’s a theme and you have to wear the mask to see it.'”

Meanwhile, a source revealed how Kim’s ex-husband Kanye West felt at the gala.
“It was Kanye who introduced Kim Demna and was instrumental in the newfound relationship between her and Balenciaga,” the source said, adding, “This look at Kim is like a new subculture and a fashion statement. No logo without a face, but everyone knows she is. Kanye gave her the courage to push people’s creativity and imagination through art. She is the ultimate confidence.”
