The presenter wrote on Facebook on 5th November 2021: “We call her the queen of epaulettes, Q’s undercover agent with her beautiful tank tops and the green eco-machine with her commitment to recycling through her agency for the bras recycling (BRABRA); but I called her friend. Kathleen Kirkwood died of a brief illness.”
Levine added: “Kathleen was a tireless worker, a wonderful sister and daughter, a passionate canine mother, and a very charming friend. Kathleen loved her Starbucks cappuccino and she thought of several business ideas. Your mind has never stopped wondering how to create new smart objects and how to make a difference in the world.”
The exact cause of Kirkwood’s death was initially unknown.
Her sister Joann hers posted on Instagram on 27th September 2021: “My sister needs prayers today, pray for her. She still has a fighting spirit, so I hope she fights now! I love you Kath a leen❤️.”

Kirkwood, who, according to her Facebook page, lived in New York City. As per her LinkedIn profile, she graduated from Maria Regina High School in Hartsdale, New York, in 1978.
Kirkwood began her career as a salesperson in a showroom at Gil Ambez Static, as per her LinkedIn. She then worked as a commercial director at Philippe Adec in Paris, France.
She wrote on LinkedIn that she had “sold a collection of jeans and sportswear from Paris to high-end chains and specialty stores in the United States and France.”

In 1983 she founded her own company. She wrote on LinkedIn that her company “makes fashion innovations like the patented COOKIE-CAMI, the padded shoulder pad solution, the undercover agent blouse, Dick Trac-Facility and Bust-Facility.”
There are licensed solution projects, including GLOW PROTECTION, a sweat-wicking t-shirt for MEN and WOMEN, MANAGE brands, intellectual property, website sales, and partnerships with manufacturers and factories.
