Following the instructions of Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab, banners have been put up across all registered cemeteries in the city, displaying the fixed rate of PKR 14,300 set by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC).
Sarwar Alam, Director of Cemeteries, visited KMC-managed cemeteries to ensure compliance. He directed all workers to follow KMC’s rules and the prescribed rates. He also made it clear that no one without KMC registration would be allowed to work in these cemeteries.
The Mayor’s office is committed to enforcing these rules, and anyone charging more than the set rates will face strict consequences.
