The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has announced the removal of the scrutiny fee for first-year intermediate students who are dissatisfied with their exam results. This step has been taken following directives from Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah.
According to an official notification, BIEK Chairman Dr. Syed Sharaf Ali Shah shared that students from various groups, including Science Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, Science General, Commerce Private, Arts Private, and Home Economics, will now be able to request scrutiny of their 2024 Intermediate Part-I Annual Examination results without any charges.

The chairman has directed the examination controller to complete all scrutiny requests within 30 days. To make the process more convenient, separate counters have been set up—one at the BIEK inquiry office for male students and another at the facilitation center for female students.
Students can download the scrutiny form from the official BIEK website, www.biek.edu.pk.

In addition, BIEK has formed an inquiry committee consisting of senior teachers to address complaints related to the 2024 Intermediate Part-I results. This committee aims to ensure that the process is fair and transparent under the chairman’s supervision.
