The gruesome final moments of a shark attack victim Kaelah Marlow who suffered “unsurmountable blood loss” have been revealed.
When a 9-foot great white shark bit 19-year-old Kaelah Marlow in New Zealand in January last year, she took a fatal bite.

Died After Shark Attack And Final Moments Revealed
A medical examiner found on Wednesday that first responders could not have saved the 19-year-old.
After the 7th January incident, Michael Robb said the swimmer suffered “enormous and irreversible blood loss” from “a massive bite”.
During an investigation, the friends spoke about Kaelah’s final moments and her desperate pleas for help.
When tragedy struck last year, he was swimming with a group of friends at Waihi Beach on New Zealand’s North Island.
The current was too strong, so her friends turned and headed back to shore, but they claim Kaelah didn’t go with them.
Kaelah was adrift in the sea when rescuers watched her but said she didn’t appear distressed or have “obvious difficulties”.
She was suddenly attacked as they approached her after deploying a lifeboat.
A colleague testified in front of the Coroner’s Court that Kaelah started freaking out and yelled ‘Hai’ while waving her arms to get attention.
Before being pulled into the boat, Kaelah was described as “very frightened and with her arm dangling in the water.”
The teenager cried that she was attacked by a shark as she was pulled from the sea while she was still conscious.
While a witness reported seeing “something in the water” that appeared to be “weeds or other people” around the swimmer, a lifeguard recalled seeing a lot of blood in the water.
Kaelah was brought back to shore, where a lifeguard applied a tourniquet and the witness helped put pressure on her bleeding wounds.
However, a coroner determined that despite best efforts, nothing could have been done to save his life.

According to the report, Kaelah quickly lost a significant amount of blood and died on the beach.
The coroner said in court: “The woman appeared to be having a mild seizure because she was making noises but not responding to voices.”
“By the time lifeguards arrived and pulled Marlow out of the water, he had likely already suffered significant and irreversible blood loss.”
“I conclude that the rescuers correctly performed their duty of monitoring Kaelah and were already taking active steps to monitor her when she suffered a life-threatening injury,” the rescuer said.
To ‘reduce’ the risk of serious injury or death from shark attacks, the coroner has made recommendations.
