Jordan Cashmyer died on Saturday of unknown causes, his father revealed in a heartbreaking Facebook post.
She was known for her participation in the MTV series 16 and Pregnant, where she appeared with then-boyfriend Derek Taylor.
The couple separated after the birth of their daughter on March 7, 2014, and Cashmyer revealed that she suffered from postpartum depression and attempted suicide.
In a post on his official Facebook page in November of the same year, he shared that “there was really no reason to live anymore”.
Her death came months after her fiancé Michael Schaffer, 30, died shortly after giving birth to their daughter Lyla.

Sharing a black and white photo of Jordan, he wrote, “Last night I got a call that no parent wants.”
“Our hearts are really broken. No parent should ever have to deal with the loss of a child.”
Cashmyer celebrated a year of sobriety last January and welcomed her second daughter Lyla with Schaffer last June.
But her attempts to get her life back on track were thwarted on September 9 when Shaffer died.
The cause of his death was not disclosed, but his family has asked that contributions be made to the National Alliance for Mental Health in his memory.

“I’ve been struggling emotionally with a lot of different things since I’ve had Genevieve,” she wrote. “I was diagnosed with postpartum depression and took medication for it for a while, but I never kept my appointment… My mood didn’t stay stable for very long, I was extremely impulsive, I couldn’t focus at least anything triggered, and my anxiety got worse.” , as well as my depression and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
He added that they gave him new medications that helped change his mood.
“I feel the same as always; happy, smiling, talkative and clear thinking… Things are looking up and I am determined to have the best possible future for my daughter and I.”
