Tory Member of Parliament, UK Jamie Wallis Comes Out As Trans

Jamie Wallis, 37, representing Bridgend, said it was “time” for the world to know his secret and thanked Conservatives for their support at a dinner given to them by Boris Johnson at a luxury London hotel. last night in central London.

Mr. Wallis, who didn’t share a new name or request a pronoun change, will become Britain’s first trans MP and say: “I’ve never lived my truth and I don’t know how.” Maybe start by telling everyone.

He spoke out weeks after his fine for driving into a utility pole and cutting off a town two miles from his home with the internet before “running away”. No other vehicles were involved and no one was injured in the collision.

What Was His Statement?

In a statement posted to Twitter, Wallis said he has been diagnosed with gender dysphoria, a term used to describe a feeling of uneasiness a person may experience due to a mismatch between their biological gender and gender. “I’ve felt this way since I was very young.

The Bridgend MP said he was trans, “or more specifically, I want to become trans” and “I always imagined I would leave politics long before I said it out loud”.

He also said he was blackmailed for it and that the perpetrator went to jail for more than two years and claimed he suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder after he was raped last year, which led to his car accident and conviction drive.

Today, the Prime Minister commended his MP for sharing his “very intimate” story “which will certainly support others”, adding: “The Conservative Party that I lead will always bring love and support to you and everyone else. Support you need to be yourself.”

The statement was posted to Wallis’ website and Twitter, where he simply said, “It’s about time.”

He said: “I’m trans. In fact, I want to be. I was diagnosed with gender dysphoria and have felt this way since I was very young.”

I had no intention of sharing this with you. I always imagined that I would leave politics long before I said it out loud.

“In April 2020, there was a small phone call when someone was blackmailing me, telling me about my father and sending photos to other family members. He wanted £50,000 to shut up.”

“Police have been very supportive, understanding and on this occasion, the system has worked. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 2 years and 9 months in prison.”

“A few months ago, in September, I ‘met’ someone I met online and when I decided to say ‘no’ because I wouldn’t use a condom, he decided to rape me.”

I haven’t been myself since that incident and I don’t think I’ll ever get over it. It’s not something you never forget and it’s not something you give up.

“Things have really changed since then. Not good.”

“When I was in a car accident on November 28th, I fled the scene. I did it because I was scared. I have PTSD and I honestly have no idea what I was doing other than an overwhelming sense of fear flooding over me. Sorry, it seems I ‘escaped’ but that was not the case at the time.”

He added: “For a while, it seemed like I could always go on. Being a deputy and hiding something like that was always going to be difficult, but I arrogantly assumed he was willing to do it. Well, I’m not.”

Last night he attended Boris Johnson’s Conservative Party dinner for MPs at Park Plaza near Westminster Bridge, where the Prime Minister opened his speech with a joke on the subject after the Labor leader refused to answer a question that said a woman can have a penis.

Mr. Johnson said: “Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Or, as Keir Starmer would say, people who are assigned male or female at birth.”

But he avoided it in that statement, saying: “It was wonderful to speak to colleagues outside Parliament and I appreciated the opportunity for a number of reasons.”

He added: “It reminded me of the incredible support you can get from those you work with. It also reminded me how important it is to be yourself. I’ve never lived my truth and I don’t know how. Maybe start by telling everyone.”

His statement was greeted with many good wishes by all parliamentarians.

Conservative Party leader Oliver Dowden said: “Proud of my colleague Jamie Wallis. As a conservative family, we stand together and will support you.”

“I hope his bold statement will help others.”
