Islamabad Announced Public Holidays For Schools, Colleges, And Offices
The district administration of Islamabad has announced that it will celebrate a public holiday on 30th January due to the arrival of the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the federal capital. All public and private educational institutions and offices remain closed.
However, the Municipal Corporation of Islamabad (MCI), Capital Development Authority (CDA), Islamabad Capital Territory Police (ICT), Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO), Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), and hospitals will operate as such usually.
Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif met with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on January 25. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan was greeted by Prime Minister Shehbaz upon his arrival at Chandna Airport in Rahim Yar Khan.
The two leaders discussed ways to strengthen fraternal bilateral ties between the two countries. Prime Minister Shehbaz also referred to his previous visit to the United Arab Emirates and stressed the importance of following up on the agreements reached during that visit.
The meeting was also attended by Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Acting Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) Syed Tariq Fatemi.
