iPhone 15 Release Date Leaked Before The Announcement

According to a recent report from 9to5Mac, Apple plans to launch its iPhone 15 series on September 13th. That announcement date, which falls on a Wednesday, comes six days after last year’s iPhone 14 series.

Several reliable sources cited in the report mention that US mobile operators have advised their employees not to take days off on September 13 due to a “big smartphone announcement”.

While it’s possible that this is an unrelated release, the timing strongly suggests that this is a real release and likely related to Apple’s upcoming event.

There have been a lot of rumors about the iPhone 15 range lately, suggesting some interesting features. The 15 Pro models are expected to feature slimmer frames and a titanium frame, as well as new and improved cameras.

In addition, the 15 Pro Max is said to include a periscope module to improve photo capabilities. The Vanilla 15 and 15 Plus models are said to come with Dynamic Island cutouts, but there’s still no mention of ProMotion 120Hz display technology.

Like last year, the iPhone Pros are expected to get a newer chip, while the vanilla and Plus phones are likely to stick with last year’s A16 Bionic.

Pricing-wise, the iPhone 15 Pro is expected to start at $1,099, an increase of $100 over its predecessor. Meanwhile, the 15 Pro Max could see its price increase by $200 and start at $1,299, making it a premium offering in the lineup.
