Interpol Arrests Six Pakistanis in The UAE
Six suspects wanted by Punjab Police have been arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) through Interpol in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Interpol conducted a successful operation that led to the arrest of these suspects. They were then transferred from the United Arab Emirates to Sialkot International Airport.
The suspects, identified as Qamar Shahzad, Tauqeer Butt, Bostan Hassan, Saaim Zeb, Waqar Azeem, and Naseem Abbas, were wanted in connection with the murder and multiple robberies.
Attock, Wazirabad, Gujranwala, Pakpattan, and Toba Tek Singh Police Departments were looking for them.
According to the FIA spokesman, the FIA’s National Central Bureau (NCB), the Pakistan focal point for all Interpol activity, had issued red alerts to detain these suspects.
After their arrest, Interpol Immigration handed them over to the respective police stations. The successful extradition of the suspects was made possible by coordination between the NCBs of Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.
It is also worth noting that NCB Pakistan issued 117 red notices of the arrest of wanted persons last year.
