ISLAMABAD:

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has offered to support India, including fans, to help the country fight the deadly wave of Coronavirus, saying the two countries could find the best possible ways to work together more to mitigate its discuss-related challenges. for the pandemic.

The Foreign Ministry said on Saturday evening that Pakistan was ready to ship certain items quickly once the modalities were clarified.

“You (authorities) can also look for opportunities to continue working together to address the challenges posed by the pandemic,” he said. The offer came after Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed solidarity with the Indian people as they fought the deadly wave of the pandemic.

He said: “We must fight together against this global challenge that humanity is facing.”

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan said: “Our prayers for a speedy recovery go to all those suffering from the pandemic in our neighborhood and around the world. I want to express our solidarity with the people of India who are fighting a dangerous wave of Covid-19. We must fight together against this global challenge that humanity is facing,” he said on Twitter.

Not only did Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan express his wishes, but several Pakistani people, including political leaders and sports stars, went to Twitter to offer prayers and good wishes for the people of India.

Hashtags like #pakistanstandwithindia in support of India were trending and Twitter users shared their ideas for Pakistan and India to come together in difficult times.

Former cricketer Shoaib Akhtar said it was time to give each other support.

“India really has problems with Covid-19. Global support is required. The health system is collapsing. It’s a pandemic; We’re all in the same boat. You have to become the support of others,” said the fast pitcher Shoaib Akhtar, also known as the Rawalpindi Express.

Pakistani singer and actor Ali Zafar, who has worked on several Bollywood films, tweeted, “Prayers for India. We are with you in these troubled times. #PakistanstandwithIndia.”

Pakistan cut all air and land links with India after India decided to lift the special status of Jammu and Kashmir in 2019 and suspended trade and rail traffic.

On February 25, the military of the two countries announced that they had agreed to strictly comply with all ceasefire agreements along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, as well as in other sectors.
