Ifeanyi, the youngest son of Nigerian singer Davido, drowned in a swimming pool at the family home in Lagos, Nigeria’s largest city.
The pop star, whose real name is David Adeleke, and his fiancée Chioma Rowland were not at home when the ordeal happened on Monday.
Eight members of the pop star’s home staff spoke to investigators to find out what happened to the 29-year-old musician’s son.
Davido, who has worked with the likes of Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown during his stellar career, has yet to publicly comment on the tragedy.

What Were The Details Of An Incident?
Police spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin told BBC News that an employee at the home called the police at 10 pm. local time on Monday.
“We are reviewing the surveillance cameras for additional information regarding the circumstances of his death,” Hundeyin told the outlet.
“His body was dumped in the morgue. We are in contact with his parents. In fact, they were with us last night.”
Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu mourned the boy’s loss on Twitter, writing that “death leaves behind an agony no words can heal”.
“I offer my deepest condolences to David and Chioma on the death of their son. Ifeanyi was loved and his smile made the world smile. I pray that God will give you strength even though my thoughts and prayers are with you.”
Statement By Peter Obi
Nigerian politician Peter Obi, one of the country’s leading contenders for the country’s presidency in 2023, said he “cannot imagine the pain Davido and his fiancee are going through”.
“I send my sincere condolences to Davido and Chioma on the death of their son Ifeanyi,” he tweeted.
“I can’t even imagine the pain they’re going through right now. May God give you healing, strength, and comfort during this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.”
Davido officials declined to comment at the time.
The news comes just three weeks after the proud parents celebrated the boy’s third birthday.
“I pray with all my heart that God grants you perfect health and pure happiness for as long as possible,” Davido wrote alongside a snap of Ifeanyi.
“You will grow taller than me, happy birthday son.”
Davido also has two daughters, Aurora Imade, 7, and Hailey Veronica, 5, from previous relationships.
