Gas Shortages Cause Disruptions During First Sehri

Multiple cities faced severe gas shortages during the first Sehri of Ramadan 2025, making it difficult for many to prepare their pre-dawn meals.

City Affected Areas
Karachi Rifah Aam Society, Malir, Nazimabad, Gulbahar, Ranchore Line
Rawalpindi Sixth Road, Satellite Town, Dhoke Kashmirian, Dhoke Pracha, Service Road, Dhoke Kala Khan, Khurram Colony, Sadiqabad

According to ARY News, gas companies had promised uninterrupted supply during Sehri and Iftar. However, several areas reported a complete lack of gas on the first day of Ramadan.

With no gas at home, many residents turned to hotels and roadside eateries, while others had no option but to begin their fast without a proper meal.

The situation has raised concerns about gas supply reliability throughout the month, as Sui Northern Gas Company and Sui Southern Gas Company failed to fulfill their commitments.
