O/A students receive online equivalency certificates after Eid al-Fitr is endorsed by the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC).
The decision was made at the direction of Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood to support the students.

According to a statement from the Federal Ministry of Education, the equivalence procedure, including submitting the application, paying the fee, checking, and issuing the certificate, will go online.
Students do not need to visit a bank, courier service, or the office of IBCC, the body that ensures the equivalence of foreign qualifications with corresponding Pakistani certificates, in order to receive their certificates.

O/A students need equivalence certificates with relevant foreign qualifications to be admitted to universities across Pakistan.
