Residence by transfer within the company applies to those moving from a company in the country of origin to an Argentine company.
The MERCOSUR Temporary Residence is for applicants who belong to MERCOSUR countries and want to come to Argentina to work. The countries are Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay.
Investors, as the name suggests, are a type of visa for applicants wishing to invest in Argentina.
Long-Term Work Visa
Long-term work visas are for those who wish to work and stay in Argentina for a long period of time.
Retirement Visa
The Retirement Visa (Pensionado Visa) is granted to professionals who have finished their careers in Argentina and wish to settle in the country. You can only get this type of visa if you have a pension of at least 30,000 Argentine pesos per month.
To do this, you must prove that this amount is being received as a pension or annuity from a government or international organization.
Digital Nomad Visa
The Digital Nomad Visa is a newly introduced work visa for foreign applicants who work online, mainly called freelancers, and who want to carry out any project in Argentina. This is a 6-month visa with 1 optional extension.
Permanent Resident Visa
The permanent resident visa is granted to workers who are already in service and have a temporary resident visa or are from a MERCOSUR country.
Those who have spouses with permanent resident status in Argentina can also get this visa.
Required Documents for Argentina Work Visa
Here is a list of the documents required for the Argentina work visa. It should be noted that work visa applications can only be made at the consular post of the Argentine Republic at the place of residence of the foreigner.
Also, depending on the type of visa you are applying for, the visa center may ask for additional documents. Applications are personal and the applicant must submit the following documents (one original and one copy) to the consulate:
- Passport with a minimum validity of six (6) months at the time of entry into Argentina, with at least two (2) blank pages.
- Two (2) recent 4 x 4 cm photographs facing the camera, printed in color on a white background
- Completed visa application form (preferably in electronic format) and signed by the applicant
- Proof of address within the jurisdiction of the consulate (such as a utility bill or other document that serves as proof)
- Apostille or legalized certificate of good conduct issued by the competent authority of the countries where you have stayed for more than one year in the last three years
- Declaration of truth or affidavit of no criminal record abroad signed in front of the consul
- Employment contract signed by the employer with the registration number of the contracting company at the National Bureau
- Registration of applicants on behalf of foreign applicants (RENURE).
- The signature of the company representative must be certified by an Argentine notary public and the relevant College of Notaries Public. The visa applicant must sign the contract in front of the consul.
Payment of Migration Fees
- Payment of Consular Fees: 250 US dollars or euros depending on the consular office where the application is made. Fees are to be paid in the local currency of the consulate
