How To Avail 50% Off On Dubai Metro?
For frequent users of Dubai public transport, a personal Nol card is the best option as it is linked to an Emirates ID and contact information.
Unlike the anonymous silver or gold Nol cards, the blue or personal Nol card allows its holder to recover their funds in the event of loss or theft.
This card offers exclusive benefits for certain groups, such as B. Free travel on the metro and bus for the disabled and a 50% discount on fares for students, seniors and residents of the United Arab Emirates.
With a personal Nol card, the maximum balance that can be added is AED5,000, while an unregistered card can only be loaded up to AED1,000.

Required Documents
Adult:
- Copy of Emirates ID card (front and back)
- Image with white background
Disable Individuals:
- Copy of Emirates ID card (front and back)
- Image with white background.
- Copy of Persons of Determination card or Sanad card.
People With Disabilities (Tourists):
- Copy of the passport.
- Image with white background.
- Document issued by the authorities of the applicant’s country stating that the person has a disability or needs special assistance.
Tourists must present all their documents in Arabic or English as stated on the Roads and Transport (RTA) website.
Students (5-23 years):
- Copy of Emirates ID card (front and back).
- Image with white background.
- Document proving that the candidate is studying in the UAE.
Seniors (60 years or older):
- Copy of Emirates ID card (front and back).
- Image with white background.
How To Register
- Go to the RTA website and click on “Services”.
- Click View Public Transport Services.
- Type “Request Personal Nol Card” in the search bar and click on the service.
- Click on “Apply Now”.

Period Of Validity
The Nol card is valid for five years. For students, however, the discount period is one year and must be extended after it expires in order to continue to benefit from the 50% discount. If the card is not renewed, non-discounted fees will apply at the regular rate.
