Application Process for Freelancers and Self-Employed Individuals
Those working independently can apply by obtaining a self-employment permit from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification is required, along with proof of self-employment income of at least AED 360,000 over the past two years or financial stability during their stay.
Application Process for Skilled Workers
Employees applying for this visa must have a valid job contract. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization classifies eligible applicants under the first, second, or third professional level. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification is necessary, along with a minimum salary of AED 15,000 per month.
Can the Green Visa Be Extended?
Yes, it can be renewed for the same duration once it expires. The Directorate-General for Residence and Immigration (DDRFA) issues 60-day entry permits to eligible applicants worldwide, allowing them to complete the residency process.

Cost of the UAE Green Visa
The fee for the 60-day permit is AED 335.75. If the entry permit is issued from within the country, an additional AED 650 is charged.
