The UAE Green Visa is a residency visa and allows its holder to self-sponsor for 5 years without the need for a UAE citizen or employer to sponsor their visa. In this sense, it gives the applicant more freedom.

Basically, three types of people can apply for the visa, including self-employed, self-employed/investors, and skilled workers.
How Freelancers And Self-employed individuals Can Apply Online?
Self-employed or self-employed persons wishing to apply for a green visa must present a self-employment permit issued by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization and proof of a bachelor’s or honors degree. They must also provide annual self-employment income of at least AED 360,000 for the last two years or proof of financial standing during their stay in the UAE.
How Skilled Employees Can Apply Online?
Skilled workers wishing to apply for a visa must have a valid employment contract. In addition, according to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emirateization, they must be classified at the first, second, or third professional level. They must also have at least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and be earning a salary of at least AED 15,000 per month.
Is The UAE Green Visa Extendable?
The visa is renewable after expiration for the same duration. The Directorate-General for Residence and Immigration (DDRFA) issues 60-day entry permits to eligible individuals from around the world to complete the residence permit process.
Green Visa UAE Cost
The fee for the 60-day permit is Dh335.75, but if an entry permit is issued within the country, an additional Dh650 will be charged.
