How To Apply For Green Visa As A Freelancer And Skilled Worker?
The UAE Green Visa is the perfect option for those looking to relocate to the UAE without being tied to a specific employer. This visa allows the holder to self-sponsor for 5 years without the need for the support of a UAE citizen or employer.
The Abu Dhabi Residents Office (ADRO) said the aim of this visa is to make the labor market more flexible and attract outstanding talent from different countries. In addition to providing a long-term residency solution, the UAE green visa also offers several benefits to the visa holder’s family.
Green Visa UAE Eligibility Check
Freelancers, skilled workers, investors, and self-employed can apply for a UAE Green Visa.
Advantages
- It eliminates the requirement of a job to remain in the UAE.
- Allows sponsorship for unmarried daughters of any age and sons up to 25 years of age.
- The grace period is extended by six months after 5 years.
Required Documents For Freelancer or Self Employed
- A permit issued by the Department of Human Resources for self-employment or independent work.
- Emiratization proof with a bachelor’s degree or an honors degree.
- Proof of annual self-employment income of at least AED 360,000 for the past two years or proof of financial stability for your stay in the UAE.
Required Documents For Skilled Workers
- A valid employment contract.
- Must be classified at a first, second, or third professional level according to the Department of Human Resources.
- At least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- A minimum salary of AED 15,000 per month.
Documents Required by Investors
- Federal Agency for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) approval.
- Investment proof.
- Approval from other local authorities.
How To Apply For A Green Visa
- Visit the Dubai Directorate General for Residence and Aliens (DDRFA) official website or download the app.
- Create an account.
- In the Services section, select Green Residence.
- Choose the appropriate subcategory, including skilled worker, partner, freelancer, or investor.
- Attach the required documents.
- Pay the fee of AED 2280.
- Submit the application.
