Highway Patrol Commander Julie Vernnan Harding Found Dead in Tennessee
The death of a California Highway Patrol commander is being investigated after he was found dead at a Clay County residence over the weekend.
According to TBI, on Saturday, December 10, deputies from the Clay County Sheriff’s Office were called to a home on Lake View Drive in Celina, where they found 49-year-old Julie Vernnan Harding dead.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Harding joined the department in 1999. Although on leave at her death, she was the commandant of Yuba-Sutter’s regional office.
According to TBI, Harding’s body was taken to the Nashville Medical Examiner’s office. His death does not appear to be the result of foul play, authorities say. The Clay County Sheriff’s Office and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation are still investigating the death.
