HEC Portal Will Register The Second Batch of Students By Sept 9th
The Education Testing Council (ETC) of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced that its portal hec.gov.pk will remain open until midnight on 9th September 2022 for the second batch of students wishing to take the Undergraduate Studies Admissions Test (USAT). The registration process for Batch-I ended on 19th August 2022.
The USAT for Batch-II is expected to take place on 18th September 2022.
It is worth noting that, as announced nationally on July 24, 2022, ETC has tentatively scheduled USAT for 4th September 2022 for the first batch of students. ETC will keep its online registration portal open until 9th September 2022 to facilitate additional registrations for the upcoming USAT Batch-II. As a result, the Batch II test is tentatively scheduled for 18th September 2022.
ETC organizes USAT for the admission of students to universities across Pakistan. The USAT is based on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and covers all known disciplines of engineering, medicine (medical health), computer science, management, and social sciences at the entry-level in the first cycle. Students who have achieved their respective USAT would be eligible for admission to all relevant colleges such as SAT.

Students who have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or equivalent/Grade 12 and those who have passed the final exam and are awaiting results may apply to USAT.
ETC conducts USAT in six categories based on relevant academic streams, including USAT-E for Pre-Engineering, USAT-M for Pre-Medical, USAT-A for Arts and Humanities, and USAT-CS for Computer Science, USAT-GS for General Science, and USAT-Com for Commerce.
