For Pakistani citizens eyeing higher education or career opportunities abroad, verifying their degrees through the Higher Education Commission (HEC) is a crucial step.
To simplify and enhance convenience for applicants, the HEC has launched an online platform for degree attestation.
Aspiring candidates are encouraged to kickstart the attestation process by visiting the official website. Once they’ve filled out the online application, the next step involves submitting their documents for initial review.
After a successful initial assessment, applicants will receive notifications via SMS and email from the HEC. This will enable them to either schedule an urgent walk-in appointment for in-person submissions or opt for document submission via courier.

Modes For HEC Degree Attestation
HEC provides two modes for degree attestation in Pakistan:
- Walk-in Mode (Urgent Applications Only): Applicants can personally submit their documents or authorize someone else to do so on their behalf.
- Authorized Courier Service Mode (All Normal Applications): Both residents and non-residents of Pakistan can send their documents through designated courier services. These services are responsible for the attestation process as well as the return of documents to the applicants.
HEC Degree Attestation Fees (Effective May 2024):
As of May 2024, the attestation fee collection has been streamlined through online payment via 1-link, starting from August 5, 2023. Applicants are required to pay the attestation fee online through 1-link and verify the payment in their profile.
- Attestation fee for each original document: Rs1000
