Jetstar pilot Greg Lynn has been charged with double homicide after being questioned by police for several days over the disappearance of campers Russell Hill and Carol Clay.
Victoria Police Department Assistant Commissioner Bob Hill said Lynn would appear in Sale Magistrates’ Court on Friday morning.

Mr. Hill and Ms. Clay vanished in the state’s highlands just before their burnt-out camp was discovered.
The couple’s last contact with the outside world was via Mr. Hill’s radio frequency when they set up their camp in the Wonnangatta Valley, a bag hidden in the Victorian Alps National Park with no cell phone coverage.
Police issued a search warrant on Mr. Lynn’s family home on Monday shortly after they left camping at Arbuckle Junction, about 170 kilometers east of Melbourne.
Although he did not respond to details of the investigation, he said officials concluded by mid-2020 that the couple had died.
Police are now looking for a trailer which they say was towed by Mr. Lynn at the time of the alleged murder of Mr. Hill and Ms. Clay, who is still missing.
Officials believe Lynn may have sold the trailer on the Gumtree Online Marketplace in the following months.
Police said the metal trailer was silver-blue, was about two meters by 1.5 meters, and was fitted with external wheels. They also believe the trailer was rusted.

Airline pilot Greg Lynn, 57, of Caroline Springs, was charged with double homicide Thursday night, more than 20 months after Hill, 74, and Clay, 73, went missing while camping in the remote Wonnangatta Valley in March. Last year.
