Govt Wants To Equip Every Household In Punjab With A Sehat-Insaf Card By 2022
Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry announced yesterday that all families in Punjab will receive a Sehat Insaf card worth 1 million rupees for annual health insurance.
He said this ‘revolutionary’ program provided free, high-quality medical treatment to all segments of society, especially the underprivileged.
The cards will be issued in central Punjab from December, and the entire province is expected to be covered by March 2022.

Minister Fawad Chaudhry said Insaf cardholders can get free medical care at any public or private hospital.
Prior to this development, Prime Minister Imran Khan launched the Sehat Insaf card initiative in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa last year.
An agreement has been signed between the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the State Life Insurance Corporation for the issuance of the card, which offers the same benefits as in Punjab.
