The Secretary of College Education, Asif Akram, has announced a ban on government college teachers in Sindh taking part in private tutoring or working at coaching centers during official hours.
A notice sent to college principals expressed concerns that some teachers are prioritizing private tutoring over their regular duties. This has reportedly affected student attendance and disrupted the learning environment.

The directive makes it clear that using work hours for personal activities is both unprofessional and unethical. Teachers play a key role in shaping the future of their students and are expected to remain dedicated to their responsibilities during working hours.
Principals have been instructed to keep a close eye on teacher attendance and ensure that classes are held as planned. Any teacher found violating these rules will face disciplinary action under the Sindh Civil Servants (Efficiency and Discipline) Rules 1973.
