George Pattison, the husband of the Epsom College principal who police say shot her and her daughter before killing himself, had just moved into the school.
At the time of her sale, Pattison was living separately from them at her former £ 1.5 million estate in Caterham three weeks ago.

What Were The Details Of An Incident?
Neighbors say it flew between this home and the Epsom property before the keys were handed over to the new owners last month. He then moved into Grace House with his wife Emma Pattinson and their seven-year-old daughter Lettie.
But on Sunday morning she called her distraught sister Deborah Kirk, telling her to hop in a car and drive to Surrey. They were late and discovered her body and those of her husband, George, 39, and Lettie.

Surrey Police spoke to Independent Watchdog about the triple shooting after it emerged they had been in contact with Mr. Pattison days earlier. The killer had held a hunting license for many years and was called by officers last Thursday to check the location of his firearm.
The officials weren’t there. Home Office regulations state that gun owners must notify the police of any change of address as soon as they move. Although Ms. Pattison moved into her home by grace and favor when she began work last September, the family only handed over the keys to their old home a few weeks ago.
It has been suggested that Mr. Pattison continued to live at the family’s previous address for months after his wife assumed her new role as Epsom College’s first rector.

Caterham neighbors said neither Pattison nor her daughter had been seen since last summer but Pattison had spent time living at the property until the £ 1.5 million sale closed last month.
One said: “I could see the lights come on at night and his car was around but never his.”
Last night, Zoe Roberts, a teacher at Caterham School, where her friend Mrs. Pattison also taught, said: “It’s tragic and we wish it had never happened.”
“She was beautiful, inside and out. She was just the most amazing person. We can put it into words now, it’s just too raw. We’re still working on it. It’s just a tragic loss.”
A former neighbor added: “I wasn’t sure if anyone had moved in because I had seen George recently. I saw him around Christmas.”
“He was alone, Emma and Lettie weren’t with him. His BMW 8 Series was parked in the driveway. Emma drove an SUV, but she hadn’t seen one in a long time.”
In fact, the last time I spoke to Emma was just before she got the position at Epsom College because she told me that she had just got it and that she was going to be the Principal of this great and respected school.
“I hadn’t seen her or her daughter since that day, which must have been early summer last year. I think she moved out before George.”
