Front Camera Smartwatch Meta (Facebook) Leaked
Facebook changed its name to Meta to become more than just a social media platform. The company wants to take us into the “Metaverse with a number of new AR / VR and other projects,” including a brand new Meta-Smartwatch.
The smartwatch meta has just appeared online in the form of leaked renderings revealing the design of the wearable device. As per Bloomberg, the smartwatch has a squirrel dial with a front camera tucked into the lower bezel.
The leak comes from Facebook’s View app, which was developed for use with the company’s new Ray-Ban data glasses, released earlier this month. The code in this app shows that the smartwatch meta is codenamed ‘Milan’.
It looks like the right side of the watch has a control button and the straps are removable. The front camera will likely support video calls, which would set it apart from other smartwatches on the market.

Previous leaks had targeted a Facebook smartwatch with multiple cameras and heart rate sensors. This appears to be the same watch we’ve heard about in previous leaks.
It’s unclear when the smartwatch meta will hit the market, but some reports predict an announcement in early 2022. Once it hits the market, it will rival the Apple Watch, Samsung Galaxy Watch, Xiaomi Mi Watch, and more.
