Francesco Villi Cause Of Death
A tragic shooting Sunday night in Vaughan killed six people, including the 73-year-old suspected gunman.
Around 7:20 pm Sunday night, reports of a gunman, later identified as Francesco Villi, outside a housing complex at 9325 Jane Street sparked action by York Regional Police (YRP).
YRP acknowledged in a statement that “interaction between officers and a male subject resulted in the shooting of the victim. He was pronounced dead at the scene.”
In response to the incident, the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) used its powers.
“We offer our sincere condolences to the victims and their families,” YRP leader Jim MacSween said of the scene, saying the situation “no longer poses an additional threat to public safety.”
Despite police silence on the active and ongoing investigation, information is gradually emerging showing that Villi suffered from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and had repeatedly asked his board to address construction issues related to dust and other irritants.
In addition, it is alleged that the victims of the shooting were members of the housing committee that oversaw Villis buildings.
Villi posted a video on his Facebook page just before the shooting, in which he angrily calls his board and tells his followers, “That’s all I want, comfort in my home.”
“Bastards, all of you. Indecent bastards and criminals.”
