Abu Dhabi, UAE Police have warned drivers and vehicle owners that violations such as running a red light could result in hefty penalties. Abu Dhabi Police have issued a notice detailing the toughest traffic fines.
Running a red light is punishable by a fine of Dh51,000 and road racing by a Dh50,000 fine, according to the warning. Police also reiterated that impounded vehicles not claimed by the owners will be auctioned off after fines have been paid three months from the date of impoundment.

Dh1,000 fine, 12 black spots, six months driver’s license suspension, 30 days confiscation of the vehicle, and Dh50,000 to free the vehicle from confiscation.

Fine of Dh50,000 to free vehicle from impound, payment of the cost of damage caused.
Confiscation of vehicle, Dhs 50,000 to free vehicle from confiscation.
Driving A Vehicle Without Valid Registration Plates:
Impounding the vehicle, Dhs 50,000 to free the vehicle from impoundment.
Dangerous Or Reckless Driving Endangering The Life Of The Driver Or Others:
Impoundment of vehicle, Dh50,000 to free vehicle from impoundment.
