FIFA World Cup 2022 List: 16 Teams Reach The Round Of 16

The group stage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup came to an exciting end as 16 top teams qualified for the next round of the competition. Usual suspects Brazil, Argentina, France, England, and Portugal advanced to the round of 16 in style, while there were also some surprise qualifiers.

Japan, Australia, Senegal, Morocco, and South Korea shocked the footballing world by progressing through the group stage, which seemed unlikely before the tournament started.

The final round of the group stage produced shocking results as qualifying drew to a close. Four-time champions Germany failed to reach the round of 16 for the second time in a row, while Uruguay and Belgium were also eliminated from the tournament.

The round of 16 begins tonight when the Netherlands takes on the United States at the Khalifa International Stadium. The knockout nature of the round places the winner in the Quarterfinals while the loser is eliminated from the tournament.

Lionel Messi’s Argentina will face Australia in the second-round match later tonight. Argentina is hoping for some of Messi’s magic as they aim to lift their first World Cup trophy since 1986.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal meets Granit Xhaka’s Switzerland in the last game of the round of 16.

France meets Poland, England, Senegal, Brazil, South Korea, and Spain, Morocco in the other games of the round.
