Female Investors Are Investing $16 Billion in Dubai Real Estate
Dubai’s real estate sector is growing exponentially due to increasing interest from foreign investors. Similarly, in 2022, around 26,698 women in Dubai made 33,419 real estate investments totaling AED58.8 billion (around US$16 billion) according to the latest research.
This figure reflects massive growth of 50.7% in volume and 53% in value compared to 2021. According to figures from the Dubai Department of Lands (DLD), female real estate investors increased by 50.8% in 2022 compared to 2021.
Data from the Dubai Department of Lands (DLD) further shows that the city broke all previous real estate records in 2022 when its property transactions surpassed the AED 0.5 trillion mark with over 122,658 transactions.
The role of women in Dubai’s real estate sector was not limited to investing. They also played their roles as developers, middlemen, and laborers. DLD figures show that women made up 34.8% of registered real estate agents in Dubai.
Some 4,519 brokers participated in 8,606 transactions valued at AED 696 million. Likewise, 42% of the total workforce at DLD is made up of women, who play a key role in the real estate sector.
