Federal Govt Increases The Petrol Price By Rs1.45 Per Liter Once Again
The federal government has again raised petrol prices. The government has announced an increase in the price of petrol by 1.45 rupees per liter, according to a Treasury Department note released on Wednesday morning.
According to the announcement, petrol will now be available for 237.43 rupees per liter. While the high-speed diesel rate stayed the same.
Kerosene and light diesel tariffs were cut by Rs 8.30 and Rs 4.26 per liter respectively, according to the Treasury Ministry.
The new prices are petrol 237.43 rupees versus 235.98 rupees per liter, kerosene 202.02 rupees versus 210.32 rupees per liter, and light diesel 197.28 rupees versus 201.54 rupees per liter. The price of high-speed diesel remained unchanged at 247.43 rupees per liter.
The new prices are effective 21st September (today), adds the notification.
