The federal govt finally confirmed 3 holidays for Eid ul Adha, from Tuesday, July 20 to Thursday, July 22.
Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Fawad Hussain Chaudhry, announced the holiday at a press conference following the cabinet meeting.
This means that the third day of Eid is a working day throughout Pakistan.

Minister Chaudhry said several key decisions were made at the meeting and that the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) recommended five holidays, but the cabinet only approved three.
The Interior Ministry sent a summary to the Prime Minister on Monday proposing three public holidays for Eid ul Adha.
Earlier, a viral notification had suggested that the Eid holiday would run from July 21-23, but Islamabad Deputy Commissioner Hamza Shafqat said the notification was false.
